The Taj Mahal, officially known as the "Taj Mahal Palace," is a massive mausoleum and mosque made of white marble. It was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan from 1631 to 1648 in Agra, India, as a tribute to his beloved wife. It is located on the right bank of the Yamuna River, more than 200 kilometers away from New Delhi, in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The complex consists of halls, a clock tower, minarets, and a reflecting pool. The entire structure is built with pure white marble and embellished with glass and agate inlays, showcasing exceptional artistic value.
